On Behalf of the American Cancer Society and all of those who have been touched by cancer, we are honored to celebrate the memory of Ron Miller
Ron was born in April of 1943 and was a graduate of Mendon High School. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He married Linda Mulholland in 1960 and later moved to Lima. They were married for over 40 years. Ron and Linda had 3 children (Sherri, Deb and Jason) 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. He and his wife Linda owned and operated Hefner Dairy for 24 years and sold it in 1995. In 1998 Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a long hard battle, she passed away in 2003.
For the next several years Ron continued to develop his Dairy brokerage business Miller & Associates with the help of 2 of his children. He also spent time mentoring other business people and entrepreneur’s locally and around the country. He not only was an advisor, but he loaned money to small startup businesses and to other established companies in an effort to help them grow their business. Many of which are thriving today. Ron was the epitome of how to multiply yourself through others.
In 2005 Ron married Karen Wright. They had 12 wonderful years together. Combining families Ron gained 2 more children and 2 grandchildren. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home and spending winters at their home in Palm Springs with friends and family.
Ron felt very blessed to have 2 wonderful ladies to share his life with.
Ron was a member of Shawnee Country Club where he loved to play golf. He could also be seen many Thursday nights in the men’s grill room enjoying a game of gin with his close friends.
In June of 2017 Ron lost his battle with cancer. We are honored to have Ron’s friends and family to help us celebrate the life of Ron Miller here at the American Cancer Society Golf Tournament of Allen County. Thank you for all your love and support.
